You Can Overcome Anxiety + Depression
It's normal to feel a little (or a lot) unsure about therapy. But believe it or not, you are stronger than you think, and you can overcome anxiety.
Part of my job is to help you learn to trust in yourself and your ability to make good decisions.
Anxiety and depression can rob you of happiness and make you feel like you’re going “crazy.” Together, we'll get you back to feeling like yourself again and in charge of where your life is going.
Counseling Can Help You:
understand and trust yourself
evict the critic that's been living in your head
heal from painful past experiences that keep showing up in your relationships
set boundaries and say no (without feeling guilty)
stop obsessing about what other people think of you
make better decisions about your life and relationships
learn to love who you are and feel good in your own skin
and much more
I'm Not Just a Therapist
Anxiety, perfectionism, grief and depression...I'm well-acquainted with all of them. I've been on the "other side of the couch" and always try to keep in mind how much courage it takes to reach out for help.
What It's Like to Work With Me
I'm very down to earth, and I want you to feel comfortable and supported throughout this process.
I will ask questions to get to know and understand you better, especially in the first few sessions, and I encourage you to do the same. It's important that we're a good fit. If I think I can't help you achieve your goals, or if you feel that way, I'll help you find someone who can better meet your needs.
Therapy can be difficult at times, and I will challenge you to step out of your comfort zone. Same-old, same-old is what led you here in the first place, right?
We will laugh. Humor is a therapeutic tool that I wholeheartedly believe in!
I am LGBTQ+ friendly.
For the past eighteen years, I've helped clients with just about every challenge you can imagine: schizophrenia, grief, personality disorders, family drama, and everything in between. I’d love to help you, too.
